I am trying to access files in a windows drive which are encrypted. The user account which had access permissions has been deleted and can’t grant the rights to other users. Therefore I cannot access the files entirely.

I have tried taking ownership of the files and granting admin account permissions. When I uncheck the encrypt files option, it gives me an error that says ‘The specified file could not be decrypted’
Please assist
