How to move files quickly from wsl2 to windows?
In my WSL2 system, there is a very large folder containing numerous files, and I want to move this folder to my local Windows system. I am currently using the Linux mv
command:
WSL The system cannot find the path specified
WSL Windows Subsystem for Linux The system cannot find the path specified.
WSL: not found related errors regardless of the command & Bash prompt only with hostname

Problem with disk space, unable to use network share directly
I am working with some linux utilities using WSL2 working with large files stored on a network share (not on the local machine). I am able to read from the network shares when opening files for processing, but when specifying an output file location on a network share, the utility nevertheless seems to write first to the machine’s local C drive, and not directly write to the network share (a file gets created there, but is 0kb, and presumably gets transferred upon processing). The problem with this is that I only have so much space on my local C drive, and these files are of massive size (which is why they are on a network share with much storage space to begin with). Is there any way to set some setting within WSL2 (universally) to not first write to local temporary storage? Or is it more likely a problem with the utilities I am using? For what it’s worth, genomic datasets with GATK (https://gatk.broadinstitute.org/hc/en-us).
disable BOM (byte order mark) in WSL
whenever I paste anything in wsl, I get these BOM characters. This doesn’t work well with linux machines. How can I disable these? The expected result is that I can paste text in wsl that is compatible with linux.

Can’t boot into Windows after multiple attempts to enable WSL
I’ve run into a frustrating boot loop issue on my Windows 11 PC after trying multiple methods to enable the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL). No matter what I try, I can’t get past the Windows boot logo screen.
WSL stuck distros
I’m not sure what I did, was trying to clear out Ubuntu when my drive filled up and crashed while using Ubuntu. Now I cannot install.
