I am using the i3 window manager and want to disable focus wrapping (cycling) specifically for the split layout while keeping it enabled for other layouts like tabbed, stacked, etc. This is because I often work with borders turned off, and when using the split layout, it becomes difficult to keep track of the focused window when the focus wraps around.
