Pair programming remotely with Visual Studio?
What tools exist to facilitate pair programming with Visual Studio when the programmers are not in the same physical location? At the moment we are thinking voice (Skype?) plus remote desktop (VNC? TeamViewer?), but it would be good to know of other suggestions and experiences. Also, is there anything more integrated with Visual Studio?
Is there a downside to installing Visual Studio Ultimate if I don’t need all the features?
Microsoft released today the final builds of Visual Studio 2012 on MSDN. I’m trying to decide from this version comparison page which edition to install (I can install any edition I want for free). I’m a solo developer who develops mostly web apps and console apps in C# and Python. Some of the features in Ultimate/Premium look potentially cool (like UML and “historical debugging”), but most of the features I will not need, or have never heard of.

Approach on Software Development Architecture
I am planning to standardize our way of creating project for our new projects.
Define which tests are run after build in Visual Studio 2012
Visual Studio 2012 has a new feature where it automatically runs your unit tests after every build.
Writing scripts for Visual Studio project
What is the best way to write and run small scripts and tasks that are specific to a particular .Net project?
Such things as configuring a database or confirming proper connections to servers.
Declaring interface in the same file as the base class, is it a good practice?
To be interchangable and testable, normally services with logic needs to have interface, e.g.
Best thing to do about projects supporting multiple versions of Visual Studio?
I have an open source project that works on .Net 2.0 and up. The thing is though that I prefer to use Visual Studio 2012, which forces the solution and project files to only work with VS2010/2012.
Do you use ReSharper full time, or only enable it when needed? [closed]
