Recently I installed an SSL certificate on my server. When I checked the certificate the common name is not the name of my server however I can see that SAN does contain the correct details.

For an internal API, one of the capabilities is allowing a user to deploy an internal-facing website. Normally, for these websites a cert is issued by the company CA and the user/team must generate a CSR locally and then supply it when requesting the cert manually.

The SSL certificate for one website that I manage seems to be fine, however, I am receiving an error for that site on a single computer. The error says that the certificate expired 22 days ago, but again, the cert is working fine on every other computer.

I’m working on a website and I want to add an email sending option.

So I have a website (let’s call it domain.com) and also an api subdomain for that (api.domain.com). When I try to access my website from any device it works perfectly fine. However, when I try to open the website from my old mac, I encounter two problems:

I bought a Wildcard certificate SSL (with the key and PEM file). I don’t know how to use it to create other sub certificate for windows website.
I suppose we need a CSR before.

I am trying to importing a SSL certificate file but pops up this error ‘unable to recognize the file type’ .
