How would you manage development between many Staging branches? [duplicate]

This question already has an answer here: Is there an established or defined best practice for source control branching between development and production builds? (1 answer) Closed 10 years ago. We have a Staging Branch. Then we came out with a Beta branch for users to move whenever they wanted to from old Production branch […]

How do I hire testers by giving them a buggy app for testing their efficiency?

My boss wants to recruit testers based on their testing efficiency (number of bugs identified). So, he’s shortlisted 5 people and I need to give them an app full of bugs and see how they fare in reporting obvious bugs, and hidden bugs. I know…. it kind of sounds weird. I guess, this is just like the coding world, where you hire a programmer by assessing his/her programming ability (which is a little easier). Once hired, these testers would be testing a java swing app, so their familiarity of testing frameworks/tools is not really required.

Code bases for desktop and mobile versions of the same app

I have written a small Java Swing desktop application. It seems like a natural step to port it to Android since I am interested in learning how to program for that platform. I believe that I can reuse some of my existing code base. (Of course, exactly how much reuse I can get out of it will only be determined as I start coding the Android app.)

How to add a new developer to the team

I run a small company composed of only 2 developers. We are building a very big application for one of our clients. Development on this project has gone on for 1.5 years.

By what features and qualities are “free” and “premium” themes differentiated

I have a lot of time invested in creating Wordpress templates. I want to release combinations of these templates along with different styles and Fancy Front pages as “Premium Wordpress Themes”. What I need to know is what does “Premium” mean? What do people expect of a GPL theme vs. a Premium theme? Are there features that are considered required to be premium? Are there features that are in demand but considered “exceptional” i.e. not part of every premium theme? How can I tell the difference?

Can Foswiki be used as a distributed Redmine replacement?

I am quite familiar with and love using git, among other reasons due to its distributed nature. Now I’d like to set up some similarly distributed (FOSS) Project Management software with features similar to what Redmine offers, such as
