How to fix a project with basically no structure?
I’ve been working on a software project mostly solo for over 5 years. It was a mess to begin with (I am the third or fourth developer to be working on it), and although it’s less of a mess now it is still incredibly disorganized. The rate of progress in getting it under control is glacial and I’m starting to feel despondent over the state that it’s in. How do I really start fixing it?

Git workflow / practices for a small project (flowchart in png)
I’m trying to come up with a personal workflow. I’ve put together a flowchart of the hypothetical lifespan of a release: one developer pushing to a public github repo + a friend helping with some feature and fixing a bug.
Project frozen – what should I leave to the people after me?
So the project I’ve been working on is now going to be frozen indefinitely. It is possible that if and when the project unfreezes again, it won’t be assigned to me or anybody from the current team. Actually, we inherited the project after it had been frozen before, but there was nothing left by the prior team to help us understand even the basic needs of the project, so we wasted a lot of time getting to know the project well. My question is what do you think we should do to help the people after us to best understand the needs of the project, what we have done, why we’ve done it, etc. I am open to other ideas of why should we leave some tracks to the others that will work on this project also.
What do I need to learn to decide on rename/recompile source package names because of company rebranding?
My company is currently at a rebranding process and the brand names have been used in the sources’ package names but these names are only visible to developers who maintain this code so nobody from project management is really interested in changing them considering also that it would imply the recompiling of several old components.
