Is Perforce as good at merging as DVCSs?
I’ve heard that Perforce is very good at merging, I’m guessing this has to do with that it tracks changes in the form of changelists where you can add differences across several files in a single blow. I think this implies Perforce gathers more metadata and therefore has more information to do smarter merging (at least smarter than Subversion, being Perforce centralized).

P4 switch (stream), but only partially
I have two streams. They are both children development streams of a parent mainline stream that contains two folders, a smaller (let’s say 400GB) and a larger (let’s say 2TB) folder.
Mappings between p4v interface and form-in triggers in P4
We have agreed on certain rules in our repository, but I want to make sure that those rules are being followed. Some of those rules are:
Perforce after update no longer will run
After doing an update to Perforce it will no longer run. I have fixed a few things, like adding the P4PORT env variable to the master.conf
file. This wasn’t needed before.
These are the current errors I get:
How do I delete a workspace from depot if it has been deleted from my local client?
I had a workspace named him_wsc
on my machine which was deleted long back. However I see that the client still exists in the depot.
