Is there a canonical list of travel industry payment card codes (VI, MC, AX, etc…)?
For hotel bookings, hotels provide a list of accepted payment cards to the GDS under GuaranteesAccepted. Common ones are "AX" – American Express, "VI" – Visa, etc.
