I set up a brand-new Ubuntu 22.04 instance with the latest copy of mysql-server on it, and I’ve spent just about all day trying to get anything to connect to it remotely. The local DB works fine from the ubuntu CLI and I even installed PHPMyAdmin successfully which also works great.
