macOS Terminal Font settings are reset upon every macOS update
After every macOS update I have to manually import my Terminal Profiles as the Font settings are reset to default. Any Ideas on how to fix this or automate/script Terminal settings?
How to get the app that launched a terminal instance?
I want to write a script for my team that will set up some value based on the (JetBrains) IDE they use (I need the path to the IDE application).
One way is to hardcode all the different IDEs and their potential paths, but I was wondering if I could retrieve it dynamically. If they all launch the script from the IDE integrated terminal, is there any command I could run in the terminal that would be able to retrieve the app that triggered the terminal instance?
In Mac OS, Command + D is not serving as EOL in the terminal instead it is splitting the terminal screen further, how do i use it to display output? [closed]

changing root folder in MacOS
I probably made a mistake in changing the Users when using mac which has an previous owner.
Now I have finder User/MyName but I found when I use Mac Terminal it appears with
ABC@MAC-Pro ~ % — in which ABC is name of the old owner.
