Why has extreme programming (XP) gone out of date in favor of Agile, Kanban etc?
I like XP (extreme programming), especially the part where there are 2 programmers at the same screen, since a problem’s solution is often found more quickly if only you explain what you’re doing and pair programming forces you to explain what you’re doing.
Is there a study showing which agile approach is best suited for particular kind of project? (in this case a re-platforming project, Java to .NET)
It is said that the Kanban methodology is suited for software maintenance and support areas, whereas Scrum is more suited for new product development. No process or methods are complete. Using the right one will help you succeed, but they will not guarantee success.
Finding Bugs in Tasks
A colleague and I have run a Kanban board at 2 places of work now, introducing a kind of scrum-ban agile/lean process into the team. Helping us move towards more flow orientated work and continuous releases.
Combining KanBan in a SCRUM process
Does anybody have an experience in combining KanBan in SCRUM, could this work, would this make sence or would it be an overdesign?
balancing old cases with agile practices
My team is just getting started integrating agile practices (we’ve chosen kanban) into our dev, test and design teams, but we have a lot of bug cases and feature cases not written in user stories left over from the old system and we’re trying to find a good way to take care of the bugs but still keep the devs that need to stay heads down focused. for now we have a newer dev assigned to bug fixes so the rest can work on new features but we are looking for the right way to structure the team. We have 7 devs, 2 testers and 2 designers.

Continuous Delivery: Kanban, SCRUM, or other?
I was wondering if there was an SDLC (software development lifecycle) or methodology (Kanban, SCRUM, waterfall, otherwise, etc.) that was particularly well-suited for continuous delivery systems, and why?
