I received an email from Google Play about the new Photo and Video Permissions policy, effective January 22, 2025. The policy restricts apps from using broad media permissions (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES and READ_MEDIA_VIDEO) unless justified. They suggest using the Photo Picker API as an alternative.
