Cisco Packet Tracer OSPF

Imagine that APIC has employed you as a junior network administrator. As part of your
duty, you are requested to configure and manage a network lab to perform tests
before they are deployed to the actual network. The networking lab imitates a typical
enterprise network with headquarters and two branches connected over the Internet.
The high-level logical topology of the network is given in Figure 1, and the physical
layout of the offices is given in Figure 2.

To study the network before the actual deployment, you will use a network simulator
to complete the following tasks:
Part A 60 Marks weighing 20%
• Task 1 (12 marks): Network simulation. In this task, you will create the network
using Packet Tracer from its logical topology and perform all necessary configurations
for the network devices to make it operational. Verify the network connectivity and
document the network configurations following the configuration management
practice.
• Task 2 (Part A 12 marks): Select a suitable network management architecture to
manage the network, then implement the architecture using SNMPv2c. make sure to
document performance baselining for the network connectivity.
• Task 3 (Part A 15 marks): A staff member at the branch network reports that she
cannot upload documents to a shared folder of the headquarter network document
server. Outline the troubleshooting steps you would use to solve this issue.
• Task 4 (Part A 12 marks): APIC at HQ/BranchA/BranchB wants to upgrade its
campus network due to the recent change in the student number (increased by 20%
overall) and expansion of the university proposed by 2026 (a further increase by up to
60% overall).
New network upgrade requirements:
Wireless connectivity using wifi6/ax technology
APs every 5 square meters
All Office applications to move from desktop to Office 365
50% of all courses to be delivered online using MS Teams from campus in hybrid mode.
Your team need to report on all the updates in technologies that will be required to
ensure the new network upgrade will be successful.
• Task 5 (Part A 9 marks): Propose two upgrade solutions in detail and perform all
necessary analyses to select one solution. Explain how the selected solution would be
successful.
