I am automating pulling OS images and adding user-data files for cloud-init.
I copy the original image to a working directory and modify it. I then copy the modified image to a output directory.

How to write a file to the `/tmp` directory of the local machine
I am trying to get a list of machines in a file(under /tmp or /var/www/html/down_machines.html) which isn’t having a specific service running or machines that are unreachable. I’m getting the data printed on screen but not getting the machine names in a file under /tmp.
