In the past few weeks ive been struggling to build my expo app when i install Veriff SDK, ive been using this library for over 6 months and it was working great, but suddenly after some gradle and java updates recently, it gives me errors when im trying to build the app on Android, on IOS works fine.

I am trying to figure out how can I download a .gz file in react native using expo and decompress it so I can read the file within.

I want to ‘open with’ my application when user wants to open pdf, so I added intent filters in manifest xml and created +native-intent.ts to get pdf path in FileProvider. It works when opening from ‘My Files’ which is default native file manager in Android.

I am developing my first native modules, for iOS & Android. On iOS, I have no problems. On Android, the development build works fine. However, when I bundle for production build, the app crashes. I think it’s related to this error in adb logcat:
