New license similar to AGPL, but only for Javascript and CSS
I’m developing a piece of software (a WordPress plugin) in PHP and Javascript and CSS. The PHP code must be licensed under GPL, but CSS and Javascript can be under another license (as far as I’ve understood).
AGPL License – does it apply in this scenario?
There is an AGPLv3 based software (Client) that makes web service calls (using SOAP) to another software (Server – commercial, cloud based). There is no common code or any connection whatsoever between these two except for the web service calls being made.
Is there an open source license that prohibits public hosting, so I can avoid competition?
I am thinking about open sourcing my project, but I want to prohibit public hosting, so noone will put up an alternative website with my code on it, and compete with my site.
Anti Cloud Open Source License
I’m working on a browser based open source monitoring project that I want to be free to the community.
Can AfferoGPLv3 code be used in GPLv3 code?
Can software with AGPLv3 license be used with GPLv3 project?
Affero GPL with PHP application and DB keys in localSettings.php
I want to licence a non-trivial PHP application I have been working on under Affero GPL v3 (because I want every admin, who will use it, also release the source code).
OwnCloud App Licensing
I’m a bit confused about the OwnCloud licensing model. OwnCloud is an AGPL licensed product (at least the open source version is). Does that mean that the only license I can use for an OwnCloud app I write using the API would be AGPL as well?
Who gets source code access with agpl
After reading for what seems days on the specifics of GPLv3 and more specifically AGPLv3, I have one question as far as distributing and to whom.
How do I license my software under a free license?
I wrote a number of NodeJS modules (some of which are actually good, in my modest opinion). I basically forgot to set a license for them.
