I recently configured Human-in-the-loop (HITL) for Document AI by following the instructions found in the documentation here. Everything is working as intended. However, labelers are not receiving any email notifications whenever a document needs to be reviewed.

I already have labelers assigned to tasks
(screenshot) and the labelers can see tasks and work on them when they manually visit the labeler workbench view. However, none of them receive any notifications via email whenever a new labeling task appears. I (the pool manager) don’t receive any emails either.

Is there something else that needs to be configured to enable email notifications? There was an “Enable auto-assignment” check box that I didn’t check during the initial HITL setup, not sure if it would’ve made the difference. I unfortunately can’t modify this setting any longer after the initial setup.

I’m requesting human reviews by submitting to the humanReviewConfig:reviewDocument endpoint as described in the docs.

I’ve already tried unassigning and reassigning labeler pools. I also tried adding new users and just assigning them to tasks but they also don’t receive any email notifications. Receiving notifications is a crucial step in the process so that labeling tasks can be completed in a timely manner. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
