This should be really easy, but after spending considerable time, I could not find a straight-forward way to do this.

I have a template in my DisplayTemplates folder for displaying double values. It is working fine. But I have a property of one of my database entities where I do not want to use this template.

I tried [UIHint(null)], [UIHint("")] and [UIHint("None")], but it continues to use the existing template.

The documentation for UIHintAttribute says nothing about this, but it talks about .ascx files, so clearly seems out of date.

Has anyone cracked the code on using UIHintAttribute to disable the template in the DisplayTemplates folder?
